It is with so much joy and delight that we announce the acquisition of Martha Babirye from from El Cambio Academy ahead of the start of the second round of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League.

Babirye also nicknamed velvet joins the #BellesWithGoals following an impressive spell at El Cambio academy, where her composure, tactical intelligence, and commanding presence at the back established her as one of the academy’s most dependable defenders. Comfortable both at right back and in wider defensive midfield roles, she brings versatility and leadership qualities that will add depth and stability to our backline.

Prior to joining St Noa Girls FC, Babirye was part of the recent Uganda Queen Cranes team that defeated Namibia and Zambia in the recent first and second round FIFA under 20 Women World Cup qualifiers. Her other notable appearances were also with the FIFA under-17 World Cup qualifier camp that took place at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Speaking after completing her move, Babirye expressed her excitement about the new challenge:
“I’m proud to join St Noa FC. It’s a club with big ambitions, and I’m ready to give everything to help the team compete at the highest level.”

Martha will be available for selection should the technical team consider her for the match against Kawempe Muslim Ladies this weekend.

Everyone at St Noa Girls FC extends a warm welcome to Martha and wishes her every success in the club’s colours.
