Sunday, 08 March 2026 witnessed a comeback and determined #BellesWithGoals rallying to draw 1-1 with visiting Riness SS WFC at the Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in matchday 14 of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League.

Our technical team named a strong line-up that saw Dorcas Lwalisa start and so did Esther Babirye and Martha Babirye.

The match began at a lively pace, with St Noa Girls FC showing early intent by pressing high and moving the ball quickly through midfield. However as the reached the half hour mark, a long ball by Rines SS into the box was headed away by skipper Barbara Anomo, upon heading it, it came into direct contact with Rines SS player Eva Nayiga who pounced a long powerful shot far and out of reach by Lillian Nakirya to make the scores 1-0 to the visitors.

The #BellesWithGoals responded positively and gradually grew into the game. Our midfield began to control possession, creating several chances before halftime, but the Riness SS defence remained organized and held firm to take the lead into the break.

In the second half, #TheBellesWithGoals came out with renewed energy and increased pressure. Their persistence paid off when they equalized through a deep free kick by Martha Babirye near the edge of the penalty box passed through the midfield and was met by substitute Brenda Nassaka who cleverly passed the ball to another substutute Imelda Kasemire to set up a long through pass to Marion Serenge who made a brilliant run and slotted past the Rines SS keeper.
The equaliser which came after the introduction of Brenda Nassaka, Imelda Kasemire and Giovanna Sunday brought in more intense and quick passing in the centre of the midfield.

St Noa Girls pushed for a winning goal in the closing minutes. St Noa created a few dangerous opportunities from set pieces, while also threatening on the counterattack.
At the final whistle, the match ended 1–1, a result that reflected the balance of play between the two competitive sides.

The point gained for St Noa Girls saw them drop down the table to sixth position and this will be a perfect opportunity for them to regroup ahead of the fixture against Kampala Queens FC scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14 March 2026 at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo
