Our girls on Saturday, 15 November 2025 defied all odds and registered their first away win of the season with a convincing 2-0 win at Olila Grounds in Soroti with the goals coming in from Patricia Nayiga and Shakirah Kasango.

Right from the onset Head Coach Tonny Mawejje named a strong line-up that choose to go offensive from the onset resting Esther Babirye on the bench in favour of Shakirah Kasango. The changes worked and saw Patricia Nayiga netting our first goal at the half hour mark. The scores stayed at 1-0 till half time.

ust after resumption debutant Shakirah Kasango netted our second and it was all joy but Head coach Tonny Mawejje did not take the early 2-0 lead for granted. Knowing who Olila are and how they have come back against other teams, introduced Maureen Kitimbo for Patricia Nayiga in the 80th minute. He also introduced Dorah Nangobi for Mary Ayugi and so did Lillian Nabukeera and Imelda Kasemire for Sunday Aketowanga and Brenda Nasakka respectively which led to the scores staying the same till the full time whistle was blown.

Patricia Nayiga yet again shone brightly with the Finance Trrust Women of the match award for her splendid performance – her third award in the season so far and also she streched her goal tally to three.

The win aslo saw the girls rise to fourth in the table standings as by press time, the other matches were yet to kick-off to determine our final position at the end of match day seven.
