MATCH DETAILS
Full time: She Maroons FC 2-0 St Noa Girls FC
Saturday, 06 September 2025 did not go as had expected as our #BellesWithGoals fell short to She Maroons FC 2-0. The match was fairly tight in the opening exchanges, with neither side producing a clear scoring chance.
Right from the start, our coaching team named a strong line-up that saw Esther Babirye start ahead of Dorcas Lwalisa who had exam committments. Another addition was Maureen Kitimbo.
The game started on a slow and cautious approach from both teams each trying to exert that dominance in the midfield but as the game grew past the half hour mark, St Noa kept knocking on She Maroons doors and so did our hosts and just before the break Nancy Mandera mistimed a clearance and it went straight into our own net, a result that kept the tie at 1-0 at half time.
The girls kept on fighting and as the game grew on our hosts got their second from a free kick by Lillian Kasuubo in the 74th minute. The urgency to get on the scoresheet increased and our coaching team introduced Faith Nalwadda and Mary Ayugi for Patricia Nayiga and Shakirah Kasango. These changes brought an impact as the girls kept the push which saw constant forward passes and shots on target against a resillient She Maroons.
The last changes that were made saw the introduction of Lillian Nabukera for Brenda Nasakka and the impact was felt as the creativity in the midfield was better and the passes were with pace and quick.
The final result at the full time whistle stayed the same at 2-0 and dropped our position on the table standings to sixth with 13 points.

The loss ended St Noa’s hopes of getting maximum points on the road — and dealt a blow to our ambitions of consolidating the forth place in the league standings. Despite the fall, the girls gave a good account of themselves against a very strong and experienced opponent.
